RailRiders Get 9-4 Win Versus Syracuse
The timely hitting of Seth Ghering helped the Scranton WB RailRiders down the Syracuse Chiefs, 9-4. Ghering went 2 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the RailRiders. The RailRiders improved their record to 33-40 with the win over Syracuse.

In the bottom of the sixth, the RailRiders grabbed the lead when Ghering hit his 6th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Pete Pritchett made it 7-4, Scranton WB.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Syracuse manager Mark Holgate.
