Pawtucket had no answer for Syracuse Chiefs starter Billy Lantry, who flummoxed Red Sox hitters as the Chiefs cruised to victory, 6-0. The first-place Chiefs have won 4 in a row.
Lantry made it look easy. He scattered 3 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. The right-hander upped his season record to 8-3.
"We're playing like we're capable of," said Syracuse manager Mark Holgate.
