Streaking Bisons Win Another One, 6-0
|
Buffalo starter Steve Makeever put the Syracuse offense in a vise grip. The left-hander relied heavily on his sinker in leading the Bisons to a 6-0 win. Jason Norris notched his 2nd save in 2 chances. Buffalo is second in the North Division with a record of 40-37.
Buffalo used a clutch at-bat from Juan Garcia to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Bisons ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Hitting, winning. It's just contagious," said Makeever.
