Chiefs Rally For 5-3 Win
The Syracuse Chiefs took Gwinnett pitcher Clodio Benido's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Coolray Field. The final score had Syracuse getting past the Braves, 5-3. Benido went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 10. Syracuse reliever Dave Driskill picked up the win to move to 2-0. Mark Weeks suffered the loss. The win takes Syracuse to 10-7.

Brandon Blankenship, the 26-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Blankenship contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Syracuse up, 4-3.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Chiefs manager Ernesto Miramontes.
