The Rochester Red Wings topped the Buffalo Bisons, 5-2, in International League action at Coca-Cola Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Rochester pitcher Jeff Olguin. Olguin, now 2-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. With the win over Buffalo, the Red Wings improved to 42-37.
Danny Jacob, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Jacob contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Rochester up, 1-0.
Jacob told a Rochester News reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
