Late Offense Lifts Lehigh Valley to 5-4 Victory
The performance of Alex Espinoza proved critical in helping Lehigh Valley beat Syracuse, 5-4. The IronPigs first baseman was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2. The win was credited to Oscar Lopez in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Mike DeWolfe took the loss. Ryan Hill got the save, his 2nd in 3 chances.

Lehigh Valley used a clutch at-bat from T.J. Lynch to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the IronPigs ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Espinoza told the Lehigh Valley Chronicle. "You win just by scoring more runs."

The IronPigs sit in 4th place in the North Division with a record of 37-43.
