McReynolds Swings Red Sox to 6-4 Win
|
The Pawtucket Red Sox trumped the Rochester Red Wings, 6-4, at Frontier Field. Pawtucket left fielder Steve McReynolds was terrific. He was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The winning pitcher was Alberto Bustillo. His record now stands at 5-6. The right-hander went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 1 hit for the Red Sox. The third-place Red Sox lifted their record to 39-42.
Pawtucket used the hitting of Jamie Olson to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Red Sox on top, 2-0. For the game, Olson had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We ground out the win," said Olson. "That's all that matters."
