The Indianapolis Indians took on the Toledo Mud Hens at Victory Field.

Indianapolis right fielder Ricky Gonzalez contributed significantly to his team's 4-1 win over the Toledo Mud Hens. Gonzalez, who is tied for 4th in the IL in home runs with 12, went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Indians. The last-place Indians go to 38-43.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Gonzalez hit a solo home run off Gordie Schlenker. It propelled the Indians into the lead, 1-0.

"We scored more than enough runs this time," said Indianapolis manager Rene Almanza. "Now watch. The next game we'll probably struggle to get a base hit."
