Louisville third baseman Danny Blanchard made his presence felt in the 5-4 Bats triumph over the Indianapolis Indians. Blanchard went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Chris Peterson got the win, improving to 4-6. He worked 7 innings, giving up 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. Elijah Rouse was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 6 save opportunities.

Blanchard had a timely hit for Louisville in the bottom of the seventh. With Louisville trailing 4-2, he turned a 1-0 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Louisville.
