Losing Trend Continues for Rochester
|
Starting pitcher Mike Gallegos pitched well enough to help the Indianapolis Indians beat the Rochester Red Wings, 5-3. The win puts Indianapolis at 15-2.
Had Joel Blanchard not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Blanchard hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Indians.
"Mike knows how to get ahead of hitters, stay ahead of hitters, and put people out," said Indianapolis manager Rene Almanza.
