Gwinnett Beats Norfolk in Extra Innings
|
The Gwinnett Braves took Pedro Salazar's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Coolray Field. The final score had Gwinnett getting past the Tides, 1-0, in 10 innings. Salazar over 9 innings allowed no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 5. Gwinnett now has a record of 46-37 with the win.
The Braves got a clutch hit from shortstop Carlos Bolanos. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Braves.
"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Danny White.
