SeaWolves Get 6-4 Win Versus Altoona
|
The Erie SeaWolves trumped the Altoona Curve, 6-4, at People's Natural Gas Field. Erie shortstop Jay Burdis was terrific. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The loss drops the Curve to 4-4.
Burdis had a timely hit for Erie in the top of the sixth. With Altoona trailing 4-2, he turned a first pitch fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 6-4, Erie.
"I like our moxie," said SeaWolves manager Ezequiel Leon.
