Free Falling RailRiders Lose Again
Starting pitcher Joe Donnelly pitched well enough to help the Rochester Red Wings beat the Scranton WB RailRiders, 5-3. In 7 innings, Donnelly surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. The save went to Sonny Rupiper, number 1 for him.

Matt Juran had a big 2-run home run for the Red Wings in the top of the sixth inning. With Rochester leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a curveball from Bobby Hogsett, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2108 draft, and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Red Wings on top, 3-0.

"Use your eyes, make an adjustment, and be better," said losing manager Steve Schwab. "We need some accountability all the way around. Everybody, top to bottom."

Now 32-53, Scranton WB has dropped 10 straight.
