The Indianapolis Indians could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Scott Connell into a win. Instead, the Toledo Mud Hens prevailed, 6-3. Connell threw 5.1 innings allowing 2 runs. Phil Richeson closed out the game, earning his 8th save. The Mud Hens saw their win-loss record go to 41-46. At the same time, the Indians fell to 44-42.

Matt Kehr had a big 2-run home run for the Mud Hens in the top of the sixth inning. With Toledo leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a slider from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Aaron Gunia and punished it. The result was his 11th home run of the season, which put the Mud Hens on top, 3-0.

"Banging out wins is what it's all about," said Kehr.
