Bisons Win Nail-Biter
|
The Buffalo Bisons eked out a 2-1 win versus the Rochester Red Wings at Coca-Cola Field. Nobody did more than pitcher John Mitchell. He was terrific. The win belonged to John Liley in relief. His record improves to 5-6. Vince Moellering took the loss for Rochester. The first-place Bisons have won 6 in a row.
The decisive blow was delivered by Carlos Cerda in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Vince Moellering to win the game for Buffalo. The home crowd went nuts.
"That last inning was electric," Cerda said.
