RailRiders Suffer 6-5 Setback
|
The Buffalo Bisons bested the Scranton WB RailRiders, 6-5, at Coca-Cola Field. Nate Maine was one of the standouts. He went 5-5 with 2 doubles and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. With the win, the Bisons improved to 60-31.
In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 5-5, first baseman Matt Gordon won it for Buffalo. With a runner on 2nd, Gordon hit a 0-1 cutter from David Hanks for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 6-5 win.
"I still think this team can play even better," Gordon told the Buffalo Chronicle.
