A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Buffalo Bisons and Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

The Buffalo Bisons downed the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 13-5, at Coca-Cola Park. Willie Ruiz led the way, going 2-for-2 for Buffalo. The Bisons have a one-game lead in the North Division.

Buffalo shortstop Chris Abbott contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a changeup to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 61st hit of the season and put the Bisons ahead, 13-3.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Ruiz told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
