Rochester starter Ryan Wolfe put a stranglehold on the Syracuse offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Red Wings to a 4-1 win. Rochester has now won 3 straight, while the Chiefs have lost 3 in a row.

Luis Lomeli had a big 2-run home run for the Red Wings in the bottom of the third inning. With Rochester leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a splitter from 26-year old left-handed pitcher Erik McFadden and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Red Wings on top, 4-0.

"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Wolfe.
