In a well-pitched game between the Toledo Mud Hens and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, pitcher Miguel Gandara was superb. The Toledo left-hander helped his team win, 2-1. John Collura recorded his 15th save for Toledo. The third-place Mud Hens improved to 51-44.

Dave Farrell drove in one run for Toledo. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Farrell, who is rated as the 69th best prospect by BNN, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Lehigh Valley hurler Wu-ti Wu, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Mud Hens a 2-1 lead.

"Miguel mixed and matched," said Toledo manager Jesse Hansen.
