Billy Lantry, who is tied for 8th in the IL with a 2.90 ERA, never let the Bulls get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Chiefs to a win, 6-1. Lantry yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 8-5. The victory gives Syracuse a record of 54-41.

Daniel Ortiz had a big run-scoring double for the Chiefs in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Syracuse leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a changeup from Nick Miller and swatted a double to right. It was his 26th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Chiefs ahead, 3-1.

"It was a good team win. Everybody threw something in," Ortiz told the Syracuse Observer.
