Bisons Stick Bulls with 4-2 Loss
|
The Buffalo Bisons faced a tough opponent in Durham pitcher Tony Severs, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Coca-Cola Field by a final score of 4-2. Severs went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. Dustin Marks closed the game out for Buffalo, earning his 12th save. Buffalo goes to 51-45, Durham to 43-53.
The Bisons got a big at-bat from right fielder Kyle Long. For the game, Long went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 13th double of the season gave Buffalo a 2-0 lead.
"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Buffalo skipper Casey Bac.
