Knights Snatch Late Win
The Charlotte Knights weathered a fine game by Buffalo third baseman Tony Sauceda to upend the Bisons, 11-9, at Coca-Cola Field. Sauceda went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The winner in relief was Chad Bergeron. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. Danny Torres earned the save for Charlotte, his 8th.

Charlotte used the clutch hitting of Brian Houston to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Knights the lead, 11-9. For the game, Houston had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"It was one of those games where both teams were swinging the bat well," Houston said.

With the win, Charlotte has a record of 50-47. Buffalo falls to 51-46.
