Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Bulls
|
The Durham Bulls stopped the Indianapolis Indians, 11-9, in 11 innings at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Bulls got a big game from Jose de la Rosa, who went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Durham reliever Matt Laws picked up the win, raising his record to 2-1. Chad McNulty was tagged with the loss. With the win, Durham has a record of 48-50. Indianapolis falls to 46-52.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, de la Rosa hit a fastball from Chad McNulty for a 2-run home run. The Bulls, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," de la Rosa said in his postgame press conference.
