The Buffalo Bisons overcame a pretty good performance by Charlotte right fielder Willie Esquivel, beating the Knights, 6-5, in 10 innings. Esquivel went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Buffalo currently is in second place in the North Division at 52-47.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 24-year old second baseman Brian Priddy had a chance to be the hero. Charlotte pitcher Ryan Mays wanted to foil that plan. But with two outs, Priddy drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Bisons had themselves a thrilling win.

"This game was intense," Priddy said, postgame.
