A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Charlotte Knights and Toledo Mud Hens.

Charlotte Knights starter Tony Ponce De Leon was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Toledo Mud Hens, 7-2. The save went to Antonio Lujan, his 1st this season.

In the bottom of the sixth, Charlotte left fielder Aaron Brooks had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Brooks stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 5-2, Charlotte. For the game, he was 2 for 5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"It was a solid team effort," said Brooks after the game.

The Knights saw their record improve to 42-57.
