Cesar Almonte had a strong outing for the Binghamton Mets against the Hartford Yard Goats at New Britain Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 8-3 win. The win takes Binghamton to 3-5.

The Yard Goats had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Mets going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old third baseman Kevin Dye came to the plate. Dye hit a 2-run triple on a 0-2 fastball from Hartford hurler Tony Cotto. It was Dye's 1st triple of the year.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Almonte.
