The Scranton WB RailRiders got a stellar effort from pitcher Bobby Kimble, helping Scranton WB score a win over the visiting Gwinnett Braves, 6-1. Kimble, now 9-7, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 9, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Earning his 15th save for Scranton WB was David Hanks.

The Braves had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the RailRiders going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old catcher Jeff Hubbard came to the plate. Hubbard hit a 2-run double on a first pitch changeup from Gwinnett hurler Clodio Benido. It was Hubbard's 1st double of the year.

"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Kimble.

Scranton WB, at 52-47, sits in third place in the North Division.
