Buffalo pitcher Kevin Qualls did his part in helping his team beat the Louisville Bats, 2-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Qualls got the win, improving to 3-3. He allowed 3 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. Qualls allowed no runs. Mario Manzo recorded the save, his 20th.
Buffalo took a 2-0 lead on Neil Guerrieri's 10th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Louisville pitcher Marcus McNeil in the top of the seventh.
Guerrieri said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."
The Bisons go to 65-35, putting them first in the North Division.
