The Syracuse Chiefs downed the Charlotte Knights, 10-2, at BB&T Stadium. Brian O'Farrell led the way, going 3-for-4 for Syracuse. Syracuse has a mark of 12-7 after the win.

The Chiefs got a big hit from first baseman Alan Brulhart. Facing Charlotte pitcher Pete Bain in the top of the eighth, Brulhart pounded a bases-clearing double to left-center. His 3rd double of the season put the Chiefs ahead, 9-1.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Charlotte manager Nick Zlomke. "We got flat-out beat."
