Martinez Plays Big Role in Charlotte Win
|
Charlotte got a first-rate effort from pitcher Felix Martinez, who frustrated Pawtucket hitters en route to a 1-0 Knights triumph at McCoy Stadium. Bernie Carrillo wrapped it up, recording his 13th save. The Knights improved their record to 47-53 by beating Pawtucket.
Martinez gave Charlotte a solid start. The left-hander, who is listed at 6' 0", 185 lbs, allowed no runs on 5 hits over 8 innings.
"Everything felt in sync," said Martinez.
