The Indianapolis Indians had to overcome a big game from Scranton WB center fielder Ricky Aguirre to leave PNC Field with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-6. Aguirre went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Justin LaRose in relief. His record improves to 6-2. Ricky Roy took the loss. The third-place Indians improved to 47-54.

The Indians benefited from an error in the top of the sixth inning. Indianapolis was leading 6-0 when Tomas Voivodic hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Indianapolis in front, 7-0.

"They beat us fair and square," Scranton WB skipper Chris Carley said.
