2098 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Durham Bulls.
The Pawtucket Red Sox defeated the Durham Bulls, 6-5, in International League action at McCoy Stadium. Pawtucket pitcher Nick Miller had a standout performance. Picking up the save was Jayden Banks, his 19th.
Dan McCartney took Steve Black deep in the bottom of the third. His 3-run home run put the Red Sox on top, 3-0. In all, McCartney had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Miller.
Pawtucket is 4th in the North Division with a record of 53-49.
