RailRiders Edge Indians, 3-2
|
The Scranton WB RailRiders got a strong performance from pitcher Matt Zmuda, who stymied the Indianapolis offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Victory Field. David Hanks notched his 16th save in 18 chances. The win boosted Scranton WB to 55-48.
It could have been a different outcome for Scranton WB, had it not been for Jesus Canales, the 25-year old second baseman . Canales contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Scranton WB up, 3-0.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Indianapolis manager John LaRossa. "The effort was great."
