Chiefs Send Toledo Home with 5-0 Loss
Due in large part to catcher Austin Baker, the Syracuse Chiefs sunk the Toledo Mud Hens, 5-0. Baker went 3 for 3 with a triple, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Erik McFadden. He's now 1-1. He went 5 innings, allowing no runs on 5 hits for the Chiefs. Syracuse is now 64-39, 9 games up in the North Division.

Syracuse used a well-timed hit by Jake Agrusa to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Chiefs ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
