Late Rally by RailRiders Locks Up 5-3 Win
|
The Scranton WB RailRiders topped the Columbus Clippers, 5-3, with center fielder Tim Lastinger playing a big role. Lastinger went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch for the RailRiders in the win. John Hutchison, now 2-2, was credited with the win in 3 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The 5th-place RailRiders hiked their record to 42-61.
Scranton WB relied on the hitting of Jaden Coley to pick up the win. The first baseman ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the RailRiders on top, 4-3. For the game, Coley had 1 triple and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Coley after the game.
