Chiefs Thrill Fans with 6-3 Win
|
NBT Bank Stadium was the site of quite a ballgame.
The Syracuse Chiefs beat the Norfolk Tides, 6-3. Syracuse pitcher and La Dolorita, Venezuela, native Manny Arellano led the way. The win puts Syracuse at 54-50 this season.
Syracuse won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Malachi Phillips on the mound for Norfolk, left fielder Ryan Carey hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Chiefs fans to their feet.
Carey said his team "played with determination."
