The Buffalo Bisons took Corey Smith's best shot and still were able to collect a win at BB&T Stadium. The final score had Buffalo getting past the Knights, 5-3, in 11 innings. Smith over 7 innings allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, Buffalo raised its record to 57-48.

Will Gilmore came through with a big-time hit for Buffalo. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We didn't let this one get away," said Gilmore.
