Big Day for Johnson in 7-4 Bulls Win
Durham and Syracuse took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

Durham third baseman Matt Johnson had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Syracuse Chiefs, 7-4. Brian Adams got the win, improving to 5-6. He worked 7 innings, giving up 4 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Brent Watson earned the save, his 1st.

With the game tied, 4-4, in the top of the seventh, Johnson had a key at-bat for Durham. With the bases loaded, Johnson hit a run-scoring single off Luis Ruiz, making the score 5-4, Bulls.

"Glad to go home with a win," said Johnson.

The victory puts Durham at 43-62.
