Scranton WB center fielder Matt Vuckovich had a good game, even if his team did not. The RailRiders dropped a 4-3 decision to Gwinnett at PNC Field. Vuckovich was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Jesus Medina. He tossed 121 pitches over 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits. Gwinnett bumps their record to 55-51 with the win.
Gwinnett used the stroke of Victor Nunez to get the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Braves ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
