The Syracuse Chiefs knocked off the Indianapolis Indians, 7-3, at NBT Bank Stadium. Brett Rine was a big reason Syracuse won. The first baseman hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. With the win, Syracuse pushed its record to 56-49.

Rine contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Syracuse in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Rine took a changeup from Bobby Hill and stroked the home run to center. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Chiefs to leap in front, 2-1.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Rine told the Syracuse Observer.
