The Scranton WB RailRiders topped the Toledo Mud Hens, 5-3, in 12 innings at Fifth Third Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Scranton WB pitcher Kirk Wharton. Jeff Tinch, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The last-place RailRiders sport a record of 44-62.

Scranton WB used a timely hit from Cris Silva to get the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the 12th inning to put the RailRiders ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said RailRiders manager Steve Schwab.
