George Elkins helped his team muscle past the Buffalo Bisons, 8-6. In the game, the Durham center fielder was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Durham used a well-timed hit by Luis Rubio to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Bulls ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
