Lehigh Valley Rallies to 6-4 Win
|
At Coca-Cola Park, the Columbus Clippers and Lehigh Valley IronPigs were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Josh Rautmann had a good game, but he could not keep the Columbus Clippers from falling, 6-4, to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs at Coca-Cola Park. The Columbus third baseman was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once in the loss. Cortez Estrada earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-0.
Jaden Haynes took Columbus hurler Nick Mulcahey deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run home run put the IronPigs on top, 6-3. In all, Haynes had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"There's still time to turn this season around," said Haynes.
The IronPigs now have a record of 50-57.
