Chiefs Get Dramatic 3-2 Win
Syracuse starter Vic Torres pitched well against the Toledo Mud Hens at NBT Bank Stadium. The left-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. The Chiefs improved to 57-50.

The Chiefs procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Steve Miles. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Ernesto Miramontes, the Syracuse skipper.
