Terry Gordon was locked in. The left-hander led the Syracuse Chiefs to a 5-4 win against the Indianapolis Indians at Victory Field. Pete Pritchett finished the game for Syracuse and earned his 4th save. Syracuse leads the North Division by 3 games.

Syracuse used the timely hitting of Bubba McGinnis to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Chiefs on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a solid team effort," McGinnis said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
