Pawtucket right-hander Ryan Sobon pitched his team to victory over the Columbus Clippers at Huntington Park. The final score was 7-2. Sobon got the win, improving to 12-7. He gave up 5 hits and walked 5 over 7 innings. He allowed 2 runs. At 64-43, the Red Sox claim first place in the North Division.

Pawtucket used a well-timed hit by Alex Ruiz to capture the win. The second baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Red Sox ahead, 6-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager Tony Trujillo. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
