Chiefs Snag 4-2 Win
The Syracuse Chiefs racked up a win at NBT Bank Stadium, bumping off the Toledo Mud Hens, 4-2. Pedro Munoz, who started for Syracuse, pitched effectively for his team. The win puts the Chiefs at 58-50, while the Mud Hens drop to 55-53.

Had Randy Marsh not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Marsh hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Chiefs.

"I believe in our guys," said Syracuse skipper Ernesto Miramontes. "I like the energy they're playing with."
