McCoy Stadium was the site for International League action featuring the Pawtucket Red Sox and Scranton WB RailRiders.

Tim Lastinger was a major factor in the 5-3 Scranton WB win over Pawtucket. The RailRiders right fielder went 2-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Milt Bradley, the winning pitcher, improved to 6-4. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 10 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 9 and walking 1. Allan Stacey earned the save for Scranton WB, his 15th of the year.

Victor Soto had a big 2-run double for the RailRiders in the top of the sixth inning. With Scranton WB leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Rafael Acevedo and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 34th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the RailRiders ahead, 5-0.

Lastinger attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
