Bisons LF Lazier goes 4-for-4 in Win
|
Tom Lazier impressed in the 10-4 Buffalo win over Syracuse. Lazier went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Alvaro Garcia got the win, improving to 4-2. He held the Chiefs to 4 runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 1. Antonio Roman notched his 1st save of the season.
In the bottom of the 4th, Buffalo took the lead on a grand slam home run by Robby Oswald. At the time, the Bisons were trailing 4-2, but Oswald's hit with two outs against Syracuse pitcher Mike Carr put them in front, 6-4.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Casey Bac said.
The second-place Bisons improved to 56-56.
