John Gongloff, who is tied for 2nd in the IL in strikeouts with 159, propelled his team to victory over the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. The final score was 4-3, Buffalo. Gongloff got the win, improving to 9-11. He gave up 5 hits and walked 0 over 9 innings. He allowed 3 runs. The Bisons bumped their record to 59-54 with this latest triumph.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Buffalo. That's when Steve Culley hit a run-scoring double off 25-year old right-handed pitcher David Adams to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"John's focus was outstanding. The way he handled every moment -- when there was a little trouble, he didn't lose his tempo or his rhythm," said Buffalo manager Casey Bac.
