IronPigs Throttled by Bisons, 5-1
|
Behind the bravura of second baseman John Carr, the Buffalo Bisons topped the Lehigh Valley IronPigs by the score of 5-1. Carr went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Bisons. Leo Morales got the save, his 12th in 15 chances. With the win, Buffalo upped its record to 72-41.
Carr contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Buffalo in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Carr took a cutter from Roberto Arevalo and stroked the home run to left. His 19th home run of the season allowed the Bisons to leap in front, 2-1.
"I like our moxie," said Bisons manager Clayton Beaulieu.
