Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Mets beat the Flying Squirrels.

The Binghamton Mets powered past the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 8-6, at NYSEG Stadium. Matt Crow provided some of the pop. He was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. Binghamton goes to 6-2.

Had Ryan Pavone not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Pavone hit a 2-run single. That made the score 8-6, in favor of the Mets.

"Good team win," Pavone said. "I love it when a plan comes together."
