Abeyta, Flying Squirrels Beat Thunder, 10-0
|
Danny Abeyta was masterful in helping the Richmond Flying Squirrels take down the Trenton Thunder, 10-0. With the win, Richmond elevates its record to 4-4.
Abeyta, who dominated for Richmond, earned the victory to move to 1-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 6 hits over 7.2 innings, while striking out 8. Trenton batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"Danny did a good job of managing their lineup," said Richmond manager Omar Zegarra.
