Coca-Cola Field was the site of a true pitchers' duel.

Pawtucket pitcher Josh Moorehead had a large part in his team beating the Buffalo Bisons, 2-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Moorehead, now 9-9, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Ray Lawler picked up the save for Pawtucket, his 5th of the year.

Juan Roldan had a direct impact on the outcome. Roldan contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Pawtucket up, 1-0.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Buffalo manager Bob Butler.

With the win over Buffalo, the Red Sox improved to 54-60.
