Bisons Snatch Late-Game, 2-1 Win
|
The Buffalo Bisons gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.
The Buffalo Bisons faced a tough opponent in Pawtucket pitcher Joe Figgs, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Coca-Cola Field by a final score of 2-1 in 10 innings. Figgs went 8 innings and allowed no runs. The triumph puts Buffalo at 63-51 for the season.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Buffalo designated hitter Will Gilmore, facing Donovan Scott, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Bisons the 2-1 win.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Gilmore.
